Detroit Academy of Etiquette’s Premiere Children’s Program | Ages 8-15

The Modern Manners program provides children the tools they need to navigate a complicated world with kindness, class, and confidence. This age appropriate program takes place over an elegant three-course meal and empowers children to elevate their behaviors to make others (and themselves) more comfortable.

Topics include:

  • First impressions and introductions

  • Greetings and handshakes

  • Polite conversations and friendship

  • How to speak to adults and other superiors

  • Correspondence and phone manners

  • How to be a great host and guest

  • How to give and receive graciously

  • How to be a good teammate, partner, and leader

  • Dining etiquette, including handling and cutting food, place setting 101, polite table manners, how to handle tricky foods and so much more
