Project 2 Clothing Drive was a Success!
The Project 2 Boutique is off to a great start! With wholehearted gratitude, we say THANK YOU for your contributions.
Project 2’s first annual clothing drive was a huge success. We were taken back by the kindness and generosity of so many wonderful donations. We received an abundance of professional clothing, shoes, accessories, purses and coats. Throughout our collection process, we heard many wonderful stories. Women who were switching careers, moving, or just wanted to simply do good. One sweet lady in the Birmingham area donated brand new beautiful items including make-up, accessories and props for staging our Project 2 Boutique for the upcoming fall workshop. Thank you Judy Gawinek.
We also want to say a big thank you to our Project 2 volunteers: Nicole Duerr, Amy Garcia, Laura Lilley, Sue Posuniak, Julie Quick, Crystal Kalinowski, Jeanne Wren, Shelby Crockett, Maire Leitao, Shelly Hulgrave, Carrie Fisher, Carly Giodosik, Lisa Gaulzetti, Andrea Papadopoulos, Susan Thomas, and Manjula Egan. These women worked hard gathering clothing items, delivering donations, and helping sort the clothes on a 90 degree day while wearing masks and gloves. Also pitching in to sort clothes were the children of the volunteers, who worked tirelessly to help out.
Thank you to Huntington Cleaners who so generously donated dry cleaning services to clean and prepare our donations for the fall workshop.
We look forward to the grand opening of the Project 2 Boutique this fall. We are excited to place these wonderful donations with our Project 2 participants. Thank you for your kindness! It is truly making a difference.
“Giving is not just about making a donation, it is about making a difference.” Kathy Calvin
